Avatar_90 dreamy, shiny, amazing sound architecture including leads, pads and all the listener needs for a perfect retro and authentic 80s feeling. One of the best five track eps I listened to the last years! orax is brilliant and talented. Favorite track: The unknown man.

kmxexii Exploring the softer side while eschewing BETRAY's more esoteric moments. "Life" has a funky beat and an interesting, bendy synth / guitar hook. "Dreaming" starts with an outrun pulse but picks up a slow beat and settles into a groove with the claps. "Memories" has an electro vibe with a warbling synth line and some saxophone, the latter of which you'll also hear on "The Unknown Man", which begins darkly - with rainfall - and then brightens to a driving dance beat. "Dawn" finishes slow and warm. Favorite track: Dreaming.

Aside from the fact that I find all of ORAX's work compelling, this album has a somewhat quieter side, without losing any of the tempos, energy, and undercurrent of menace that are thematic in the body of work. (My wife isn't crazy about ORAX, but I lover her anyway. Nobody's perfect.) SRL
